Jae Crawford
Wearing the “C” at Magdalena Media is Jae Crawford. A player agent with a fierce loyalty to her clients, Jae has been at the helm ever since founding the firm in 2019. She is an alumni of Sports Management Worldwide’s Hockey Agent Course under Rick Curran.
In addition to being CEO, she is the company’s senior producer and consultant. Her skills include web design, content production in all formats, set management, and storytelling through editing.
Her 8 years of experience in the media industry combined with her backgrounds in marketing, branding, and PR form the base of the knowledge she uses to help players take control of their necessary promotional duties.
Outside of her work at Magdalena Media, Jae is a documentary and wedding filmmaker, as well as a researcher and writer in the fields of entertainment economics, media history, and cognitive film studies. She made the Dean’s List in college and was selected as Media Major of the Year by her department’s faculty. In her senior year she was brought on by the school to teach a major’s class in Digital Journalism due to her advanced industry experience. She was responsible for creating and presenting the coursework and mentoring students. She plans to return to school soon, aspiring to higher degrees in media and economics to teach and conduct academic research. In her down time Jae enjoys reading, model trains, history, pottery, and music. She plays the violin, viola and is learning piano, in addition to her 10 years experience as a classically trained singer. She currently resides in Chicago.
