 Magdalena Media was founded in response to a need founder and current CEO Jae Crawford encountered while she was an intern at a junior-league hockey team. Already holding 5 years of experience in the media field, in broadcasting and documentary filmmaking, she could see that the industry standard format for creating content did not allow for players’ true personalities to shine, which, in turn, limited the marketability of the product. Marrying her production experience with her knowledge of marketing, branding, leadership and on-set management skills, Crawford created a new system of planning and shooting content that supported players as people, not just as numbers, and saw great results across many different personality types and backgrounds.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Crawford, not a sports fan by either nature or nurture, threw herself into learning the industry thoroughly and tailoring her newborn idea to fit, not just the needs of as many different of clients as possible, but the demands of a fast-moving, fast-changing industry.

Since then, Magdalena Media has blossomed, becoming a well-oiled machine of multi-industry knowledge and connections, with the number one focus being on long-term, personal goals, the same focus Crawford champions as a player agent.
